You Stuck With Me

It all started when I had some medical issues 2 years ago that caused a loss of income and I began to fall far behind on my mortgage and their method of helping was increasing my payment by $700.00 per month for 18 months.  There was no way I could do this.  I just took an across the board 10% pay cut and no overtime.  A normal work week for me is 55 hrs. I looked for help from a company that deals with loan modifications only to fall prey to a scam.  They have since been shut down by the FTC. I came to Umoveon Co. in May of 2009 with this now very serious situation. The house already through the auction and things were looking very bleak for redeeming the property.  This property is where my wife of 24 years grew up. Even with you help at first they would not budge on doing a modification even after months of paper work and filings to the note holder.

YOU STUCK WITH ME! You talked to me about getting a loan audit done to see if there were any thing that just might give us the leverage to have them reconsider a modification.

All I can say is Thank you very much! It came down to the wire with only 2 weeks left before they would issue an eviction notice.  And after all the No's...all of a sudden they seem to have quite a change of heart.  In the end, I have a mortgage I can afford, it is current, and is a better deal than some class A credit people can get. The Most Effective Type of Audit

Our efforts to work out a suitable Loan Modification with our lender has been nothing short of a nightmare. After a year of frustration, we learned that a Mortgage Loan Audit can be a very effective tool to gain leverage over our uncooperative lender. We felt that we were taken advantage of by our loan officer from day we signed our mortgage documents. Our lender increased our closing costs from about $5000 to over $11,000 which we did not know until the day we closed. We were expecting a 30 year mortgage, but the actual loan was changed to a 40 year loan without our prior knowledge. Even more shocking was the fact that after paying $2085 per month for 30 years, there was a “BALLOON Payment” that would be due for more than $182,000! (The original mortgage was for $270,700 with an APR over 10.8%). We had waited over 6 months for our new house to be built and we would have lost a lot of money that we paid to the Builder if we did not close on this loan. Our loan officer assured us that we could refinance to a better mortgage and rate after one year. Did I mention the 3 year Pre-Payment Penalty? We actually had 2 Forensic Mortgage Audits done: The first one was done by a “Certified” auditor who found NO VIOLATIONS! They ran all of the “numbers” through their audit software and everything was technically “in compliance”. We then had a second audit done by David Smith from Mortgage Loan Audit Advantage LLC (part of Umoveon LLC). The second audit revealed MANY violations including evidence of “Predatory Lending”. The Mortgage Loan Audit was a manual review of all of our documents which we learned is the most effective type of audit. Our attorney has already been contacted by a lawyer representing the Bank...they now want to “work things out”.  There really is a HUGE difference between Mortgage Audit Companies; we are proof.
